Answers For Partners & Employees

You still should create the offer in your EZPartner Account. However, there are a few options for how you handle the matter from there.

First, if you know which school, but they are not aware of your offer then you have the option of using the NOTIFY PARTNER SCHOOLS when creating your offer. This will send details of your offer to the school contacts who work with partners.

Second, if you don’t want anyone seeing the offer you created you can either click the PRIVATE option at the bottom of the page when you create an offer, or you can go back into the offer anytime after you create it and check the PRIVATE option. This will cause it to not display on the ACTIVE OFFER LIST page for schools to view.

If you are working on an activity or offer that already occurred (like a school supply donation from the prior month), you can set the EXPIRATION DATE to the date in the past and because EZPartner sees an EXPIRED offer it will not display on the ACTIVE OFFER LIST page.

Third, when you want to record the OUTCOMES of your offer you can go back into your OFFER, click on the OUTCOMES button at the bottom of the page and select the School or Schools you are working with on the offer.

Matching the schools you (will) work with on the offer causes the schools to show up in the list of contacts when you begin logging Outcomes for your offer(for Students, Staff, Donations, or Volunteering). It also causes the offers to be displayed on the School’s account so they can log their own Outcomes and see the Outcomes you log.

First, you will need to be registered as a Partner with the school district’s EZPartner program before you can make contact with any schools about their requests. If you are unsure how to start, try reaching out to the school principal or the district’s Partners In Education program coordinator.

Once you are registered go to the EZPartner website and using the navigation menu (hamburger icon in upper left corner of site), choose REQUESTS or SCHOOL REQUESTS from the list.

This will display the ACTIVE REQUESTS LIST page showing all current school requests. You can filter by the School, by the Category (what type of resource is being requested), the Estimated Cost (usually associated with Donation requests) and the Expiration Date (deadline for assistance).

You can also search for specific text using the SEARCH bar in the upper right corner of the page.

Once you find a request you would like to contact a school about, use the ENVELOPE icon on the Request Summary to view the contact details and any additional details about the request.

This is the place where you will need to have your Partner account credentials ready. EZPartner will require you to sign-in to your account (if not already) before displaying any contact or other details about the Request.

From the REQUEST DETAILS page you can see the person at the school who created the request and the work phone and email address. Reach out using one of these two methods and if there’s a good fit, the school will take the next step of MATCHING you to their request and working with you on the details.

To create an offer as a partner you will need to first sign-in to your EZPartner account and then follow these steps –

  1. Click on Partner > Offers tab. This will display your Offers List page.
  2. Click the Create New Offer button
  3. Type the Name of your offer. This should be as self-explanatory as possible (e.g. – Internships For Seniors). It should NOT be your name or the name of your organization. Those details are associated with your offer by virtue of you creating it.
  4. Choose the Resource Category that best defines your offer. These categories are set-up by the school or district. If you do not see a category choose Other or Miscellaneous
  5. Set an Expiration Date. This can be the date of the event or the date when you will stop making the resource available, or the end the school year, if you have an ongoing request. It can also be a date in the past if you are only planning to record outcomes because you already matched your offer.
  6. Type a Description of no more than 1,000 characters about your offer. You should NOT include your contact details as the system will share these with other registered members of your EZPartner system.
  7. If you already work with a school you can choose the option to NOTIFY Partner Schools. This will display the list of contacts at the school or schools you work with closely and will send an email with the details of your offer to the selected school contacts.
  8. If you do NOT want other schools to see this offer choose the PRIVATE option to keep it off the publicly view-able Active Offers page.
  9. Click SAVE to return to your Offers List page.

School requests can be found by using the ‘three-bar’ navigation menu on your school district’s EZPartner site and selecting the Requests link. Once on the Active Requests List page you can filter school requests by the school name, by the category of resource they are requesting or by the expiration date of their request. The expiration date is a way for the school to indicate if the request is time-sensitive.

After you create an offer you can log the results of the offer including donations of material items or dollars and volunteer hours. Do this by signing in to your Partner account and opening the offer. Then  click the Outcomes button at the bottom of the Offer.

From the Outcomes page you can choose the school(s) you worked with to meet their resource needs. If you were not able to match a school to your offer, then choose one of options that best describe your outcome.

Assuming you did match your offer with a school or schools, you can then input details about the Donations,Volunteer Hours or Students you assisted by clicking the Details link next to those outcomes.

When you are inputting the details of your Donation add an entry for each donation to each school and remember to Save your data before you Close the details form.

For Volunteer Hours input the number of volunteers and total hours for each school. Remember to Save before you Close and return to the Outcomes page.

Note: You cannot choose a school on the Donations or Volunteer Hours details page if you did not select them as a school for this offer first.

You can also record the number of students who were involved and benefited from this request and the number of staff who received direct benefit from the partner(s) involved.

When you finish recording your outcomes you can either Save your offer , if you think you may need to add more outcomes at a later date, or Close your offer, meaning you are finished recording any outcomes.

Before you Close an offer please rate your experience working with the school(s) involved and provide comments that will help your partner program administrators improve the program over time.

If you have been working with a school on a request they created for a project (like staff appreciation luncheon) or a program (like student mentors), you now have the ability to review and record the outcomes for that request.

Step 1: Matching your business/organization to a request

The school needs to ‘Match’ your business to any request they have created and with which you are assisting them. You can check whether you have been matched by signing into your partner account and under the Partner menu selecting ‘Matched Requests’.

Step 2: Reviewing and recording outcomes for a matched requests

If you do not see the request listed then the school has not Matched you to that request yet. You will need to contact the school liaison and ask them to match your business so you can see the request on your ‘Matched Requests’ page.

When you see the request you can choose to review and record outcomes. Choose the type of outcome (Students, Staff, Volunteer, Donation) you want to view and this will pop-up a window that displays the current outcomes for the request. You can see what’s been entered already and make any additions you feel are needed.

If you are helping on a request that extends over a period of time, for example a school supplies drive that runs all month, enter multiple donations by first choosing a Date and then entering the details, including the value of the donation and a description.

After each entry press the SAVE button. When you are finished entering outcomes press the CLOSE button.
